During the week of 6 to 10 May, ISO TC46/SC11 met in Berlin. They were days of intense work. 

Working groups WG8 & WG9, led respectevely by Judith Ellis and Carlota Bustelo, and developers of ISO 30300 series, have decided to join forces and focus efforts on the development of the implementation guide (future ISO 30302), postpone for later work on other products.

The new ISO Directives require an initial justification study for each new product to be approved in advance. The decision of the Subcommittee was to continue working on the draft while processing the approval of justification study, and in this way to launch the first ballot with a fairly consolidated draft. Depending on the comments to be received, the drafting period will be more or less long, but publication cab be expected at least until late 2013 or early 2014.
